Explanation

Railroad signs alert drivers to upcoming railroad crossings. Circular signs give the same alert. The manual shows four Railroad Crossing signs, one of them marked 2 TRACKS.

School zone signs are yellow or fluorescent yellow-green. Yellow or fluorescent yellow-green signs alert drivers to nearby school zones, and five-sided signs warn that you are entering an area near a school in which children may be crossing the road. The manual’s school signs are School Crossing Ahead, School Crossing and School Bus Stop Ahead (two versions).

Slow-moving vehicle emblem: an orange, fluorescent center with red reflective borders. It indicates a slow-moving vehicle which cannot exceed 25 miles per hour.

Example

You come up behind a vehicle showing the slow-moving vehicle emblem. The emblem tells you the vehicle cannot go faster than 25 miles per hour.

Common mistake

Forgetting the 25 mph figure. The slow-moving vehicle emblem means the vehicle cannot exceed 25 miles per hour.
